ENTERTAINING ANGELS

30 JULY – 21 AUG – 2021

*****Bookings Temporarily Suspended*****

Due to the current COVID Lockdown, Castle Hill Players has reached a decision to temporarily suspend sales for our next production, ENTERTAINING ANGELS, until we have a clearer indication of when performances will be able to go ahead.  The Management Committee sees this as the best way to deal with the present situation.  It is our hope we will open on Friday 30 July, as planned, however, we can’t guarantee that at this stage.  All ticket sales already made will be honoured and as soon as we have a confirmed opening date we will advise everyone and sales will resume.  Be assured our enthusiastic cast and crew of this wonderful production are totally committed to continuing with their rehearsal schedule and are currently rehearsing via Zoom!  In the meantime, stay safe, stay happy, stay home!  Thank you so much for your continuing support of Castle Hill Players and The Pavilion Theatre

Can God be trusted to do anything right at all? Or is the whole thing a “divine exercise in trial and error”?

As a clergy wife, Grace has spent a lifetime on her best behaviour. By her own count, she’s poured two hundred thousand cups of tea, made four thousand six hundred quiches and baked two tonnes of light crust pastry. Now, following the death of her husband, she is enjoying the new-found freedom to do and say exactly as she pleases.

But complications are just around the corner as Grace’s eccentric missionary sister returns with some disturbing revelations. Grace is forced to confront the memory of her husband and the truth of their marriage whilst the new vicar reveals some very un-clergy-like credentials of their own.

A very English comedy that’s profound, absorbing and thoroughly entertaining.

An Amateur Production BY ARRANGEMENT WITH ORiGiNTM THEATRICAL ON BEHALF OF SAMUEL FRENCH, LTD.
