Thiswildly funny adaptation of Molière’s classic farce, is a fast-paced comedy of greed, romance and spectacularly bad decisions.

Harpagon, a man so obsessed with protecting his fortune, drives his children, Cléante and Élise, to desperate measures in pursuit of love and happiness.

As Cléante pursues the charming Mariane, Élise plots a future with Valère, while crafty servants, scheming matchmakers and interfering relatives add fuel to the fire. Secrets are concealed, identities are tested, alliances shift and carefully laid plans unravel at breathtaking speed.

The result is a whirlwind of tangled romances, mistaken assumptions, outrageous selfishness and escalating chaos. Foley and Porter inject the story with razor-sharp wit, inventive physical comedy and a relentless stream of laugh-out-loud moments.

With colourful characters colliding in ever-growing mayhem, The Miser is a riotous theatrical treat that proves greed has never been so funny.
