Two young New Yorkers filled with ambition develop a powerful relationship full of love, laughter, and eventually heartache. This modern musical ingeniously chronicles the five-year life of a marriage, from meeting to break-up and from break-up to meeting.
Cathy, moving backwards in time, is a talented, yet struggling actress with a vibrant personality and deep passion for her craft whose perspective on love is deeply affected by her career and desire for affirmation. Jamie, moving forward in time, is a charismatic and ambitious writer whose early success sometimes leads him to make choices that strain those around him.
The Last Five Years was named one of TIME Magazine’s ten best shows of 2001 and a film adaptation was released in 2014, starring Anna Kendrick and Jeremy Jordan. This is sure to be a unique, intimate production that will demonstrate the power of storytelling through song.
